about tasha 🫖
natasha “tasha” sondakh is an indonesian writer. she is the author of contemporary fiction novel she smells of turmeric, which was published by new degree press in 2021. upon completing her undergraduate studies at northwestern university, she pursues a finance career that started in new york city and continues in her hometown jakarta. you can read more about tasha’s writing here.
tasha started this substack to procrastinate on her second novel, but also to have an outlet to ramble about her wild wild thoughts. when she isn’t writing or fingers-deep in excel models, you can find her on her couch or in restaurants with friends.

“is so pretty and sharp as a dagger”
“is competent at taking pictures of food”
“is socially aware and has a way with words”
“will never love you as much as she loves her dogs”

why is tasha adamant on wasting so much tea
fortunately, no tea is harmed in the publication of this substack. “spilling tea” is a colloquial term used among tasha’s fellow gen-z peers, meaning to share the latest gossip or juiciest stories.
why you should join tasha’s coffee-drinking, tea-loving community
to see the world through tasha’s lens. she’s young but has been told that she is mature for her age. her brain is full of heart, sophisticated taste, and unhinged tomfoolery, which she hopes you can partake in with a grain of salt.
tasha hopes that your reading experience can double as a podcast, so imagine your favorite narrator and read it in their voice (or in hers… your choice, of course). you can also listen, if you’d prefer, to the tea on jellypod.
what kind of tea does tasha like
tasha prefers coffee to tea, which is why she can spill tea on a monthly basis.
if you’d like to buy tasha a coffee, you may opt for a paying subscription. although tasha’s content remains free, a paying subscription tells tasha that you enjoy her writing. it also gets her homebody ass out of the house to get said coffee, which she will sincerely thank you for.
how may i partake in said tea
